Medical dermatology for children and adults
Entomology and skin problems caused by insects
Dr. Sean Strother is a Board Certified dermatologist who has been practicing medical dermatology in the Seattle area since 2001. His busy practice gives him the opportunity to see a variety of medical dermatology conditions, perform skin surgeries, oversee the practices of the physician assistants, and read the pathology for the medical team at Strother Dermatology.
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Strother received a master's degree in Entomology (the study of insects) prior to entering medical school. He has co-authored several chapters concerning skin problems caused by "creepy crawlies" and is frequently consulted by other dermatologists regarding this specialized area of dermatology.
I love teaching, which is demonstrated in both my commitment in training new physicians and in my approach to helping my patients understand their particular skin problems and the treatment options available to them.
My vision is to provide, a comprehensive, high-quality, caring, conservative, cost-effective and yet innovative approach to both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
I enjoy traveling with my wife (a family practice physician) and our two daughters. I'm also an avid birder and general "nature geek" and I spend time exploring nature in the beautiful Northwest and around the world.
